Do we still need Jesus?

Most say yes, but their actions say no.
Why do their testimony and actions disagree?

Let’s find out.

Jesus said:
“… this is my blood of the new testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
Matthew 26:28 (KJV)

Peter testified:
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name [Jesus] under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12 (KJV)

We needed Jesus because when we were:
“… without Christ,… being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, we had no hope and were without God in the world:… ”
Ephesians 2:12 (KJV)

Jesus sent Paul:
“To open our eyes, to turn us from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that we may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Him [Jesus].”
Acts 26:18 (KJV)

Whom God sat forth to be a propitiation [an atoning-Strong’s] through faith in His blood, declaring His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, [have previously transpired-Strong’s] …
Romans 3:25 (KJV)

“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
Romans 3:28 (KJV)

So:
“… Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.”
Galatians 3:7 (KJV)

“Now we brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.”
Galatians 4:28 (KJV)

[children of promise = Israel. Romans 9:6-8]

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: Yea, we establish the law.
Romans 3:31 (KJV)

Jesus declared:
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”  [accomplish-Strong’s]
Matthew 5:17 (KJV)
“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled.”  [come to pass-Strong’s]
Matthew 5:18 (KJV)

And Paul states:
“Know ye not brethren (for I speak to them that know the law) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?”
Romans 7:1 (KJV)

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1 John 3:4 (KJV)

However:
“… the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:2 (KJV)

For:
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:…”
Gal 3:13 (KJV)

We don’t die spiritually if our sins are forgiven.

“And for this cause He [Jesus] is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death (for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament), they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.”
Hebrews 9:15 (KJV)

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:34 (KJV)

Therefore:
“Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”
Hebrews 4:14

Their testimony is that we still need Jesus because:

“…when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:  Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness…” Romans 2:14-15 (KJV)

But their actions disagree because:

“they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God sent them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 (KJV)

Brothers and Sisters in the Faith, we have been taught a lie.  The law has not been done away with.  God has written it on our hearts.  Would He have done that if, as we are wrongly instructed, parts of it were to be ignored?

Keep the law.  Ask forgiveness when you fail.

Let us not be:
“…of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”  Hebrews 10:39 (KJV)

We certainly do still need Jesus.
