Manasseh, King of Judah, has done detestable things and has done greater evil than the amorites did which were before him; and he made Judah sin with his idols also.
Therefore, thus says Jehovah, God of Israel:
“Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah that whoever hears of it will shudder.”
Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem with it from one end to the other, in addition to the sin he caused Judah to sin. They did what was evil in the sight of Jehovah. 2 Kings 21: 11,12,16
