Psalm 17:6-15, 18:1

I call on You God, for You will answer me. Listen closely and hear what I say.

Show Your marvelous loving kindness, You that saves by Your right hand those who put their trust in You from those that rise up against them.

Keep me as the pupil of Your eye, hide me under the shadow of Your wings from the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies who compass me about.

They have become hardened and speak arrogantly with their mouths. They advance against me, they surround me, they are determined to throw me to the ground like a lion that is greedy of his prey and as a young lion lurking in ambush.

Arise Jehovah, confront him, cast him down. Save me with Your sword from the wicked, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. Fill their bellies with what You have in store They are satisfied, they leave their surplus to their children.

As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Your likeness. I will love You, Jehovah, my strength.
