Psalm 18:3-19

I called upon Jehovah, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies.
The sorrows of death were wrapped around me and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell entangled me, the snares of death confronted me.

I called upon Jehovah in my distress and cried to my God for help. He heard my voice from His temple and my cry reached His ears.

Then the earth shook and trembled, the foundations of the hills moved also and were shaken because He was angry. Smoke rose from His nostrils and consuming fire from His mouth devoured. Coals were set ablaze by it.

He parted the heavens and came down, a dark cloud was under His feet. He rode upon a cherub and flew upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness His hiding place, dark storm clouds were His canopy around Him.

Clouds passed with hail and coals of fire from the radiance of His presence. Jehovah thundered from heaven and the Most High projected His voice. He shot His arrows and scattered them and He hurled lightnings and routed them. Then the depths of the seas were seen. The foundations of the world were exposed at Your rebuke, Jehovah, at the blast of the breath from Your nostrils.

He reached down from above and took hold of me, He pulled me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of my distress, but Jehovah was my support. He brought me forth into a large place. He delivered me because He delighted in me.
