Psalm 70:3
Let those who say “aha, aha” retreat because of their shame.
Let those who say “aha, aha” retreat because of their shame.
Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my life. Let those that desire my hurt be driven back and humiliated.
God, deliver me. Hurry to help me, Jehovah.
Let their table become a snare before them and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. Let their eyes be darkened, that they see …
They gave Me gall for My food and for My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
Reproach has broken my heart and I am full of heaviness. I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
You have known my reproach, my shame and my dishonor. My adversaries are all before You.
Draw near to my soul and redeem me. Deliver me because of my enemies.
Don’t let the floods of waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up and don’t let the pit shut her mouth over me.
Rescue me from the miry mud and don’t let me sink. Let me be delivered from those that hate me and from the deep waters.
